Raised by the UOB Heartbeat Run for children’s charities since 2007

UOB’s Global Heartbeat Run/Walk is the bank’s flagship volunteering and fundraising event, combining a physical run or walk with corporate fundraising from staff, customers and partners. Since the programme began in 2007, UOB says it has raised more than S$23 million for causes aligned with the bank’s CSR focus areas of art, children and education.

The event’s most recent edition brought together around 24,000 UOB colleagues, customers and beneficiaries across Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, raising S$3.1 million under the UOB Heartbeat Fund for 25 charities working with children and their families.

Running the event across seven markets simultaneously, rather than as a single Singapore fundraiser, reflects how UOB frames the programme as a regional rather than purely domestic CSR commitment — consistent with the bank’s broader footprint across Southeast Asia and Greater China.
