Raised by the Singtel Touching Lives Fund since inception

The Singtel Touching Lives Fund, anchored by recurring fundraising events such as the Singtel Charity Golf and Expressions Through Art, has raised more than S$57 million since its inception, according to Singtel. The fund was originally built around supporting Singapore’s special education schools, and that remains a core beneficiary group.

In recent years, Singtel has widened the fund’s remit to digital enablement for vulnerable groups beyond students — including seniors, migrant workers and low-income families. A significant strand of this is Singtel’s participation in the national Digital for Life movement, through which it runs workshops teaching seniors basic digital skills and scam awareness, in partnership with agencies including IMDA, the South West Community Development Council, and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore.

Singtel positions the digital-inclusion work as a natural extension of its position as a telecommunications provider: the company argues that as more essential services move online, closing the digital divide for seniors and low-income households is directly relevant to the harms its core business could otherwise deepen.
