Temasek Foundation pairs tech-enabled elder care with a push to get girls into STEM
The philanthropic arm funded by Temasek runs Assisted Living Communities for seniors alongside the Marie Curie Programme for young girls in mathematics and science, plus a youth sustainability movement with WWF Singapore.

Youths targeted by Temasek Foundation’s #WeGotThis sustainability movement
Temasek Foundation is funded through philanthropic endowments from Temasek, Singapore’s state investment company, and runs programmes across social resilience, regional capability-building and science and nature. Its Assisted Living Communities programme integrates technology with in-person social and physical activities to help seniors stay engaged and connected as they age.
On the other end of the age spectrum, the foundation’s Marie Curie Programme, run in partnership with NUS High School of Mathematics & Science, supports female primary school students who show early promise in mathematics and science — part of a broader push across Singapore’s philanthropic sector to close gender gaps in STEM participation before they widen at secondary and tertiary level.
On climate, Temasek Foundation partnered with WWF Singapore to launch #WeGotThis, a youth-focused digital sustainability movement aiming to reach one million young people on social media and equip them to lead their own digital campaigns on sustainability issues. Because Temasek Foundation is not itself an operating company, its programmes offer a useful contrast case for what CSR-style giving looks like when it originates from an investment holding structure rather than a consumer-facing business.
